Project Description

WHO is providing technical support to different countries on scaling up Assistive Technology (AT) in the countries. A key element of the technical support is to support countries in becoming cognizant of the access and need for AT through a household survey. The process aimed at supporting Ministries of Health and other involved ministries to understand, lead, and implement more effective policies for access to assistive products in the countries, national priority assistive products list. The household survey findings were also presented in the WHO Global Report on Assistive Technology, planned for 2021.

The overall objective of the project was to implement the household survey of the rapid Assistive Technology Assessment (rATA) in Georgia in 2020–2021 aiming at obtaining national representative data on the met and/or unmet needs, demands, and barriers to AT access among the Georgian population.
