Project Description

Within the frameworks of the project „Capacity building of the Ministry of Economy on the Environmental, Social and Governance framework“ we will support MEF in designing and piloting a practical Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) framework for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Uzbekistan. The project aims to: Align Uzbek SMEs with international ESG and Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) standards; Strengthen their access to sustainable investment and global value chains; Support the implementation of Uzbekistan’s Green Economy Strategy 2030 and SME development priorities.

Our work will combine policy advisory, stakeholder engagement, and capacity building – including workshops, toolkits, and pilots with SMEs and business associations – to ensure the framework is practical, scalable, and locally owned.
