Lasha Labadze is an economist with sixteen years of professional experience, including more than a decade in economic policy consulting and project management. He began his career in 2008 as a researcher at ISET and later held key leadership roles at the ISET Policy Institute, serving as Deputy Director (2011–2014) and Executive Director (2015–2017). During this time, he led a team of researchers and served as a team leader on numerous projects funded by international organizations. Since 2018, Lasha has been with the American University of the Middle East (AUM) in Kuwait, where he has served as Associate Professor, Head of the Finance and Economics Department, and Research Committee Coordinator. In 2024, Lasha joined the PMCG team as the Head of the Economic Policy, Economic Governance, and Public Financial Management sector. As of April 2025, he became part of the ACT Global team, where he leads the Economic Development portfolio. Lasha holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and a Master’s in Economics from ISET.
