ACT Global Launches New Project to Support Uzbekistan’s Green and Inclusive Growth Agenda

ACT Global is excited to announce the launch of a new project „Capacity building of the Ministry of Economy on the Environmental, Social and Governance framework“ in parnership with GIZ – Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit and the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan (MEF).

Over the next 13 months, we will support MEF in designing and piloting a practical Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) framework for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Uzbekistan. The project aims to:

  • Align Uzbek SMEs with international ESG and Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) standards;
  • Strengthen their access to sustainable investment and global value chains;
  • Support the implementation of Uzbekistan’s Green Economy Strategy 2030 and SME development priorities.

Our work will combine policy advisory, stakeholder engagement, and capacity building – including workshops, toolkits, and pilots with SMEs and business associations – to ensure the framework is practical, scalable, and locally owned.

We are proud to contribute to Uzbekistan’s green and inclusive growth agenda together with our partners.
