ACT Global Launches New ADB Assignment to Strengthen Gender-Responsive Climate Policy Across Central Asia

ACT Global is pleased to announce that, in joint venture with GEO Outlook LLC, it has launched a new technical assistance assignment awarded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The project aims to strengthen gender-responsive climate change policies across Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.

The assignment will help governments embed gender equality considerations more systematically into climate policymaking, adaptation planning and related institutional frameworks. Through evidence-based policy analysis, institutional strengthening and regional knowledge exchange, it will support more inclusive, effective and resilient climate governance across Central Asia.

Working closely with ADB, government counterparts, and key national stakeholders, the Project will assess existing climate policy frameworks, identify opportunities to strengthen the integration of gender equality, develop evidence-based policy recommendations, and support institutional capacity through national and regional knowledge-sharing activities.

As Lead Partner, ACT Global will lead the technical delivery of the assignment, drawing on its expertise in gender equality, public policy, institutional strengthening, stakeholder engagement, and evidence-based policy analysis. Supported by robust quality assurance and results-based monitoring throughout implementation, the assignment will deliver practical, context-responsive solutions that strengthen national climate policy frameworks and support long-term institutional capacity. The assignment is implemented in joint venture with GEO Outlook LLC.

This assignment further strengthens ACT Global's growing portfolio of regional and multi-country initiatives supporting governments and international development partners in advancing evidence-based public policy, institutional reform, climate resilience, and sustainable development across Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Middle East.
